Dear Chris,
Found the following in the 1850 census of PA:
Mont. Co., German Town, page 330.
Henry KINDICT Age 64 Farmer $600.00 (real estate) born PA
Magdalena Age 62 born PA
Unamed (or illegible, going by my notes here)female Age 18 born PA
Based on his age and birthplace Henry may be the son of Jacob KENDIG and Susan HERR of Strasburg, Lanc. Co., PA. That trail ends there.
This may be a good lead as Jacob and Susan also had a daughter named Martha who, if she was your Henry's sister, could be your Martha's namesake.
If you have, or find, anything more on Henry's family, like other children, siblings, etc., let me know and I'll try to come up with something more.
Yours,
David
