Just saw your 2001 posting requesting information about Levi Kindig, Hanover, Pa. I have Levi Kindig, b. abt. 1818, d. 1882, oldest son of John Kindig and Catherine Lindemoat Longnecker, who lived in McSherrystown, Pa., next to Hanover. The family moved here from York in 1837. Since the two areas are so close together, McSherrystown info is sometime included with that of Hanover. I do not have a middle name for my Levi so don't know if your Levi Samuel is the one in my family line. If so, I would like to correspond with you about this family. His father, John, is my "brick wall" and one that I have been researching for many years.
