My prior post in this thread contained some error, for which I apologize. The Elizabeth who married a Fauber and moved from Virginia to Illinois was not named Hinkle, but was rather of the Grass or Cress family of Augusta Co VA. She married Christian Fauber Jr. of Augusta Co in 1821. It seems likely that the Fauber family, certainly not the Hinkles, lived on a farm next door to the Benjamin Kindig family in Augusta Co.

The Hinkle connection is this: Elizabeth (Grass) Fauber's daughter Harriet married Ambrose D. Hinkle in 1842 in Tazewell Co IL. Elizabeth and her second husband, Daniel Giseburt, apparently named their son Ambrose Hinkle Giseburt, b. 1846, after Elizabeth's son-in-law.
