Does this have anything to do with the Denning's? I have suspected something of this type since everything I learn about the Denning's has them tied to trade and shipping from Bristol, possibly Africa, West Indies, Mass., NYC and Wm. tie up with arms and supplies for the Rev. War. My ggrandfather was a shipping agent(lawyer) in NYC in 1850's. Name Thomas Denning. He named by grandmother after Hannah MARIA Denning Duer.
