thanks for your reply. The first Ancestor I can trace back to is Thomas Kinghorn who married Margaret Wright in 1674 in Pencaitland. I am trying to find out if he was related, perhaps brother to James who married Issobel Wadie. There are also a number of Kinghorns who married in E. Lothian around the same time and spread out from there. As yet I am waiting for slightly warmer weather before I go around the countryside as it has been a bit wet of late.
