Hi mac,
I have some information on your family, but I am not sure what you have already. In 1881 Census for Lonmay, William, 29, Miller born Methlie (Methlick)
Mary Anne,22 born Lonmay, Mary Ann ,daughter ,1yr.born Lonmay .
I guess that William's parents were William Kinghorn and Elizabeth
Brown, who were in Strichen at that time.I have details about this family and his parents Adam Kinghorn and Jane Cocker.
At one time I thought that Adam and Jean were my ancestors, because they had a son Alex in the same year and area as my own Alex.
Especially as my Alex's father was named Adam too ! Very confusing.
I have hit a brick wall with my research, but have collected a huge amount of data about Kinghorns. So far all Kinghorns in Aberdeenshire have connected back to Adam and Jean, or his brothers. I'm sure mine does too, if I can find the missing link.
Let me know what you know already, and if I can help.
