Hi Christian,
I have found a Kinghorn family in Glasgow in the poor relief records.
These records are incredibly detailed and even describe the type of person they are. I would describe this family as someone's "skeletons in the cupboard" as they are a very unsavoury bunch.
I have not any connections with them, but their parents were from Inveresk ! I cannot find any records to go farther back,so maybe you would know the family.
I will get back to you with names and dates and if they are of interest I will send you photocopies.
