Like Sheena I think your search will lead to the borders but you may be interested to learn a little about JOANNA.

JOANNA KINGHORN nee Bigland was baptised on 17 May 1804 in South Leith her parents being JOHN BIGLAND and his wife MARION FINLAY.They married in 1802 and he died in 1812 so Marion rather swiftly married a JAMES HART in 1812 but he too died in 1818.

When JOANNA was widowed in 1861 she must have returned to her home town where she was married in 1835 as we find her aged 76 living with her unmarried half sister CATHERINE HART a Lodging Housekeeper aged 60 on the 1881 Census at 46 Heriot Row, Edinurgh.
Previously the sisters had lived at 137 George Street both still fashionable addresses in Edinburgh today.

JOANNA and her husband JAMES had 3 sons GEORGE 1836, JOHN 1838 and JAMES 1840 in Kilmuir Easter and the 4th WILLIAM was baptised in Kincardine parish in 1844 which would have been when the family moved to the Inn at Ardgay where James senior died in 1861.

JOANNA died in 1884 and was buried in Warriston Cemetery Edinurgh.
