'In te, Domine, speravi' - Link Between Kinghorn and Lyon?

Good day,
I'v been doing a bit of research on the Kinghorn family, and its daunting amount of branches.

A few years ago, my grandmother (Maiden name James, married into Kinghorn) bought a picture with the supposed family crest.
Below the crest is written the words 'In te, Domine, seperavi'
I did some research and came across the Scottish Lyon Clan whos crest, funny enough is the same as the one on the picture.
Has anyone else come across this connection?

We have no family record at this time except for what my Grandfather (Bruce Kinghorn) and his brother (Duncan Kinghorn) have been told about our family history. If you have any information, it would be greatly appreciated.

Jessica Kinghorn, Queensland, Australia
