Hi Joy. Not sure if you're still researching Kinghorn's in South Africa, but my Kinghorn's moved there from Scotland as well and I think they connect back to Adam and Jean Kinghorn (I think).

So my connection is follow:

Adam Kinghorn (b: 1832), son of Adam and Jean Cocker Kinghorn, m: Elisabeth Morrice (b:1834). They had a son, William Bissett Kinghorn (b:1861) who married Elizabeth Chalmers (b:1869). They had a son William "Billy" Kinghorn (b:1887) who eventually went to South Africa. There he married Gwladys Martha Gregg and had 2 children: Sheila Agnes Kinghorn (b:1922) who was my grandmother and Theodore Kinghorn (b:1918). Sheila moved to the US in her 20's to marry my grandfather. Theodore died while in the service in Italy. Hope this helps!
