I am a Kinghorn with Florida connections. I graduated from the University of Florida Law School, am a member of the Florida Bar and was in private practice in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. I live in Minnesota now. My brother lives in Orange County, California and my family has lived in Santa Maria, California in the past. Where is your family in Florida and California?

My Kinghorn ancestry(George Kinghorn b 1791 and his family including his son Alexander Patrick Kinghorn b 1839, my great great grandfather)immigrated from Scotland to the US as Mormon immigrants in about 1855 through New Orleans to St. Louis where they lived for about 9 years. Later they came to Salt Lake City where Alexander Patrick founded the Salt Lake City suburb of Sandy, Utah. Later, he and his family, under the direction of Brigham Young's colonizing effort, left Utah to settle the area around what is now known as Rigby, Idaho.
