I am Eben Homer Kingman's great great grandaughter and would love to be in touch with you. Eben Homer Kingman died February 15, 1919 in Lamoine, ME. He was buried at the Fogg Cemetery in Otis, ME. I have been to that small cemetery WAY out in the country. It's very quiet out there and all covered with spongy moss, thus making it even quieter.
A comment about your last sentence. Annie Kingman Remick was his daughter, not his grandaughter. Her first husband was my great grandfather, Leslie Atwood Wilbur. They were married December 25, 1882. Leslie died in 1888. Annie married Senica Higgins Remick in 1896. They are all resting at the Fogg Cemetery.
I had no idea someone in that line of my family was musically inclined. It seems it has not carried down to any other generation. I have some pictures of Eben, his wife and his two daughters, Annie and "Addie". Annie had two sons with Leslie. One of them was my grandfather, Eben Homer Wilbur. At least the name carried down, even if the musical abilities didn't. She had a daughter with Senica, named Ruth. (I have seen Senica's name spelled Seneca, as well.)
How are you related, through Annie or Addie? If Annie, through Melvin, Eben or half-sister Ruth? Did you know they had a sister who only lived three months? If Addie, I only know her husband was George Jellison, but I don't have any info on children. She was buried at the Fogg Cemetery as well, but I don't believe her husband was.
Let's share some information. I can be reached at email@example.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
