I have just discovered this ancestor as having served in KPW "...and for his services received a grant of land in Voluntown, Conn." This Samuel Tubbs was b. 1638 in Duxbury, MA. Can anyone recommend the best way to get verification of his service? Does NARA have mil. service records that far back, and is there any faster place to search? Thank you.
