Hi. This is a copy of an email I received from a comtemporary of mine regarding our Kingree ancestors.

"I received copies of several marriage licenses of Daniel Kingree's children. He had to sign the permission slips for his daughters to marry and signed them GINGRICH. I had long believed he was the son of Johannes Gingrich of Warwick Twp, Lancaster County, but since all the VA records listed him with various spellings of Kingree, I needed something more definitive. Now I know he called himself by his original name Gingrich, not the anglicized version - Kingree."
I cannot contact this distant cousin anymore since her old email address is no longer valid. The Daniel Kingree referred to was born abt 1738, however I have in my notes in PA. His son Soloman Kingree was born in PA (?) and died in Shenandoah County, VA. This may shed some light on the Kingree/Gingrich connection.
