I'm sooooo happy to have this surname site! Anyone searching for ancestors with the name (or variation) of Kinsolving, PLEASE email me. I am having a hard time finding the origin of this name as well as anyone searching for this name. It is a HUGE gap in my family files!

Different variations of the name include: Consolues, Consolvo, Gonsalius, Consolver, Consolvant, Consolvent, Consolvin, Consolven, Kinsolver, Kinsolving...

My family line is as follows:

Charles Kinsolving (or variation above) 1732-1781; Albemarle, VA. Fought and died in the battle of the Cowpens.

James Kinsolving 1760-1829; Albemarle, VA

Madison Bushrod Galatin Kinsolving 1807-1888; Mobile, AL

William Stenet Kinsolving 1837-1914/15; Caldwell Co., KY. Moved with 5 sons to Hornersville, MO

Dr. Floyd Kinsolving 1963-1942; Born in Caldwell Co., KY. Lived adult life in Hornersville, MO. Was an MD, a lawyer and a pharmacist. Very wealthy (he left us nothing so don't ask). Invented multiple items. Many newpaper and magazine article written on the "Strange Dr. Kinsolving." Home was supposed to be haunted by Civil War soldiers.

Celia Vied Kinsolving (Cannon)-Floyd's daughter was my great-grandmother (my maternal grandfather's mother).

Would love to exchange information with anyone that can help me piece together this line.
