My grandmother was Sarah Jane Kingsolver, and she said her family was from the Shennondo Valley in Virginia. And that her Great Great (don't remember how many greats I think four) grandmother was an Indian Princess from the Shawnee tribe I think. Can you help me out here. My grandmother was born in 1901 in Virginia to a James Campbell Kingsolver (1859) (her mother was Frances (Fannie) Sanders), son of David Kingsolver, whos father was Charles Consolver/Kingsolver . I wonder if he was the grandson or son of Thomas Lane Kingsolver, whose mother was Sarah Wahub (American Indian name). Was she the Indian princess that my mother was talking about? And if the Idian tribe was Shawnee?
Thanks very much.
