I am looking for any tie-in between the KINLAW and WILKINS families. My GGGrandfather was David WILKINS. All that I know about his ancestry comes from word of mouth and is as follows.
He was born 11 Oct 1860 to ? WILKINS and ? KINLAW. His father died in the war. His mother was unable to care for him and bound him out to a SHAW family who raised him in Robeson County. He had at least 1 sister whom he reunited with prior to his death (name unknown).
As I see it, with the timing of his birth (probably too late to be listed in 1860 and bound out by the 1870), the only hope I have of tying him to his birth family is possibly by wills and/or deeds. Has anyone found mention of WILKINS in a KINLAW will or deed?

ANY help with this would be greatly appreciated!
