Anita -- I know a lot about Francis Kinloch but not so much about his brother Cleland Kinloch. All I can tell you is that in 1815, he was probably on his plantation "Acton" near Statesburg. He died at Acton on 12 Sep 1823, according to "Kinloch of South Carolina" by H. D. Bull.

Unless you are referring to Cleland Kinloch's son, also named Cleland Kinloch (1798-1823).

Send me an e-mail if I can help further.
