I'm answering my own message to some degree. I have discovered that John Kinloch had a daughter, Margaret Kinloch, who married James Sandilands and that is how St Monance Castle, which the Kinlochs owned (as well as Cruivie Castle), passed into the hands of the Sandilands. If anyone knows anything further I would greatly appreciate learning from you, as we intend to restore the castle and would like to have the castle's history restored along with its walls and roof.
