My direct ancestors include Alexander Kinnear, baptised 3 August 1795 St Vigeans parish, Arbroath, Angus and Jane/Jean Allerdice baptised 17 January 1787 Craig parish, Montrose, Angus, married 13 March 1815 in St Vigeans parish, Angus. There were my ggggrandparents.

In July this year I found the gravestone in St Vigean's Churchyard and took photographs, showing 'Jean Allerdice, wife of Alexander Kinnear, residenter, 43 Helen Street, (Arbroath), died 13 August 1864'. The gravestone was originally erected in 1814 for her mother-in-law, Elisabeth Mitchell, wife of Alexander Kinnear, feuar in Marywell Park.

I would love to have a copy of the original marriage data for Alexander Kinnear and Jean Allerdice.

Jean Davidson
