I live in Canada and am also tracing my Kinnear family history. My gggrandfather was James Kinnear who marrried a Margaret Stewart in Scotland, and my ggrandfather was Stewart Kinnear who married Annie McDonald also in Scotland. My grandmother was one of Stewart and Annie's children and she was named Jessie Alexander Kinnear and married a Angus McLean and they had my father who is named Stewart Kinnear McLean.

My grandmother was born in Scotland and came to Canada sometime in the late 1800's or early 1900's. She married Angus in Montreal, Quebec. I am still trying to find the date of immigration and I'm having a difficult time finding any information on Stewart Kinnear after the 1891 census in Scotland.

To the best of my knowledge they had seven children and there oldest son James and there youngest son William died in 1891
