Hi Barbara,
I think we may have a connection. I'm not sure if we have corresponded before but here goes.
Stewart Kinnear born <1842> in Scotland to James Kinnear and Margaret Stewart.
Stewart married a Annie MCDonald March 16, 1877 in Dundas, Scotland. Stewart and Annie had a son by the name of John Gordon Kinnear born December 14, 1884 in St. Clement, Dundee, Scotland. John was a brother to my grandmother Jessie.
As far as I know Stewart never came to Canada, but if he did he would of returned to Scotland, as I have his Death Certificate which says he died September 23 1914 in Cupar, Fife, Scotland.
I have additional information on the Kinnear family if this is the connection that you are looking at.
