Hi
George and others looking for the elusive Kinnears.

My husband's great grandmother was Nancy Kinnear born about 1848 in Cornwall County and at the time of her marriage ( at age 16) was residing in Plantangenet. Her father was James Kinnear and mother was Ann (Andrea) Fraser.
Nancy married John Scott age 23, born in South Plantagenet, Cornwall,in 1841. Father was Robert Scott and mother Jane Nicholson ?? (spelled Neekilson on typed form but original looks like Nichilson.)

Nancy and John married 20 Oct. 1864 at Prescott.
I found this marriage and saw the original at the Archives of Ontario in Toronto - Marriages 1857 to 1924.

John and Nancy Scott had a daughter Mary Elizabeth who married Stephen Liscomb of Winchester, Dundas County, in Riceville. They were my husband's grandparents.

While searchng for this couple, I found that there were a lot of Irish Kinnears and Antrim County in Ireland was mentioned. This might help.

Bernice
