I have a Thomas Kinshella who immigrated to Quebec in 1817. He was born 11 Jan 1798 in Ireland and died 20 Feb 1879 in Quebec. He settled in St Patrice de Rawdon, Montcalm, north of Montreal and married Eleonore/Honora Lecard. Their children were: John 1825-1915, Marie Mary 1828-1829, Jean or Jane 1829, Thomas 1831, Genevieve 1837, James 1839-1889, Louis 1841, Margarite 1843, Marie Sophie 1845, Bridget 1848, Marie Julienne 1850, Armeline 1853, Joseph 1857-1886.
I descend from John who married Maria Delany. Many of their children moved to Minnesota and then some moved to Alberta.
I hadn't found any brothers for Thomas but there is a possible sister in Rawdon as well. She is Mary Kinshella (1785-1867) and married Hugh Daly.
Hope this matches with your info. Let my know.
