Second attempt at posting.
My great grandfather was Peter Kinsella. His wife was Annie (nee Scott). They lived in Garden City, with 11 children, after moving from Carron Row (now McCurtain Street).I think you may be wrong about the 1881 date. Don't think any houses existed in Garden City until about 1917.
Peter had a brother (who may have been Thomas) who went to live in Lancashire and was a tailor/draper in Bolton and got into politics. May have had a daughter, Lily, who ran a sub post office. His daughter was Mary Ann, who married a Purcell. Their daughter was Nelly who married Tommy Brittan and ran a pub in Widnes.
So a lot of your tale rings true.
Contact me so we can put a few more bits of the jigsaw together.
