Following on from my previous post, I found a Peter Allan Kinsella born in the third quarter of 1906 (Wandsworth) who has a highly probability as the EP's son. I have no information on Molly which may or may not be her birth name. EP worked for a magazine called "The Motor Owner" at it's foundation in 1919. The November 1919 edition had a photo of the magazine's four artists at work. (I owe this to www.Rutgerbooy.nl who is interested in another artist F. Steerwood) In the photo Rutgerbooy deduced the identity of Steerwood and given that two others are young men and that EP was aged 46 it seems clear who he is in the photo. Besides his postcards, posters, and book illustrations, EP also painted portraits. One well known portrait is of the Derby County FC hero Steve Bloom. Sport is a feature that turns up quite a bit with EP and George Robey (mentioned earlier) was also an amateur footballer with Chelsea FC and a cricketeer. In my research I got the sense that Kinsella and Robey were friends. In 1918 they worked together in what seems to be a brief, at least for EP, connection with film. Obviously EP and family emigrated from England in the 1920's and the US Census for 1930 has an EP Kinsella in Kentucky that seems to be EP. He may have been in Canada prior or after that date which is just a hunch. Most sites that have biographical information on artists have little on EP but most have date of death as 1936. Hope this helps and I would really like to know more about EP's (and his relatives)life in the US. Notify Administrator about this message?
