Lovely to hear from you.I doubt very much if we are connected, or if we are it is very very far back. Our branch of the Kinsella family lives around the Newbridge area of Co. Kildare going back to the early 1800.I'm told that the Kinsella family name originates in Co. Wexford, but to be honest I really haven't done all that much research yet.Being native Irish and still living locally I suppose I'm a bit lazy, but some day I will trace my roots back. There wouldn't be a lot of Kinsella's around locally, but there are Kinsella's scatted around the country. The Kinsella family is on my late Mother's side, she was Peg (Margaret Kinsella).
Castledermot is a very old town, it can trace its origins back to the old Irish Chieftains. The countryside is very rich and green, you would like it I'm sure.It is very close to County Carlow.
Best regards
Teresa
