Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Charles Kinsler is my great great-grandfather, born January 4th, 18??, who was one of the founders of the city of Brea. He served in the Spanish-American War, and his father, who's name I have forgotten, served in the Civil War. I believe we originated in Kentucky, and moved to California in the late 1860's. Charles had two daughters, Thelma and Mildred. Thelma Kinser is my great grand mother, and married Everett "Doc" Henderson, bearing two sons, Richard and David Henderson.
I've just started researching our family tree, and I'm LOST. It's so complicated. Lot's of marriages, and second marriages, etc. However, my great grand mother is still living, and has family photographs that date back to the 1870's. There are boxes and boxes of photos, and most are marked.
