Hi Bobby!
Great to hear from you. I was so disappointed that the reunion was cancelled in Miami this weekend. I was so excited to finally meet the rest of my family. I see that you are just down the road in Savannah. I'm in Charleston.

I'm spending most of my time on my campaign for the SC House of Representatives. Brenda and two of her three children came down in the Spring and we went up to the Kinsler homeplace. We found two slave cemeteries and had a really wonderful experience with her kids and my sister, niece and nephew. We took a film crew with us, so it's all on tape.

I'd love to get together with you and listen to the stories about the Ocala family. Brenda and I found records of John Herman Kinsler's family and many other families from the Blythewood area joining a "very long wagon train" that left Blythewood for Marion County Florida on December 20, 1860. That was the day that John Heman Kinsler and the others signed the Ordinance of Secession which started the Civil War.

We still don't know why they chose Marion County, Florida, but it was interesting to find a single event that took the family there where they remain even today.

Hope to hear from you soon.
Charlie
