I'm pleased to know that someone else is doing family history as well. Living in Washington, DC has afforded me the opportunity to go to the archives, the Library Congress, DAR and the genealogical library of the Latter Day Saints. The researchers in these libraries have been very supportive of me. I don't know much about the Kinslers in Ocala. My father is Louis Kinsler. His father Monroe and mother Corean were deceased by the time he was 10. I spoke to some of my other aunts, but they don't know very much.
I had the opportunity to go to South Carolina and see where our descendents lived when they first came to this country. Next Spring I plan to return to South Carolina and perform a small burial ceremonial for our descendents. I have several people from Africa who are helping me. They even brought me soil from the mother land that i need to perform the ceremony.
Through my research, I learned that some descendents migrated to North Carolina. Some descendents still live in the Columbia area. I've contacted them, but haven't heard from them.
I would very much like to share information
