Dear Rose,

I responded to a similar question you asked about Freeman Kinyon. Your Freeman Kinyon is listed on the 1820 Federal Census as living in Holland, Niagara (later to become Erie) County, New York. He is in the 45 and up age range, with no children living in his household. I would be interested in learning more about the deed for land, which he held.

Kinyon is not a Native American name. It is comes from England. So far, the DNA and genealogical evidence shows that Kenyons, with earlier spellings of Kinyon are related. They can be traced back to England.

Hope this helps.
