I am related to Jacob Kircher, 3/9/1837, Germany who lived in Cherokee, Iowa. He was living in Scott, Wisconsin when he joined the 1 Wis L.A. during the Civil War. I think his parents were also Nicolas and Mary Kiercher though I don't have proof.My family lived in the Sheboygan area before moving to Cherokee, Iowa. Your info and that of Shirley's is to much of a coincidence.
