Jerry,

I don't know if you still check this sight but I have a great grandmother who is a Kirkeby. Her name is Marit Kirkeby. She came from Norway. She married Peder Sivert Medchill also from Norway. They ended up in Minnesota. A book was done for the family starting with Marit and Peder. She was born Feb. 17 1860 and died in 1923.Her parents are Hemming and Marit Kirkeby. She was born in Miraker near Tronheim Norway. She did have four sisters ,( Ingeborg, Berit, Marie and Ellen. My great grandmother Marit and her sister Ingeborg immegrated to America at the age of 9 yrs old. They came to Goodhue Co. Minn. They had to have had some relatives there. Her parents and the rest of her sisters (3) come over 4 yrs later. There is more if you need it.

Thanks
Diana
