I may be a descendent of your Isaac Kirksey. My info is very limited and hope you can help me out. My gg-grandfather was named Gideon Kirksey. I find him only on the 1860 Monroe County, AL census: age 30 with wife Siddy(?) and 3 daughters Margaret, Mary, Eliza. (Eliza Jane married John Francis Howell, my g-grandparents.) I have land patents in Monroe County for Gideon (1860 & 1861) and Isaac M. Kirksey (1860). Isaac is identified as being from Butler County, AL. I "sorta" felt that Isaac may be Gideon's father. Gideon died in the Civil War. Am I a descendent of your Isaac Kirksey?
