In Reply to: Missing, a Red-headed, short Kirksey by Mary Faith Labor Matthews of 412

I am the son of Raymond E. Kirksey (b) April 1914 to John Bolden Kirksey and Jewell Matthews . John B. Kirksey was (b) January 1894, and Jewell (b.) January 1898. Both were born in TX. John B. was the son of Luncy D. Kirksey (b) April 1857 in AL. His wife was named Minerva, last name unknown, and she was eityher born in Al. or MS. in 1862. I haven't been able to determine when they moved to TX. Also, their is two Kirkseys, Ellehue John Kirksey (AL.) TN) and John M. Kirksey in Texas on 1900 census. Both of these Kirkseys were listed on the Civil War Rosters for the 4Th Alabama Infantry and 5Th Alabama Cavalry. I do not have a connection to them established as of yet. Do you Have any of these Kirksey's in your bloodline?
