Once my Kirkseys arrived in GA (1814-15?)they moved quite often. WD K's father William claimed to be a native of Abbeyville Dist. SC. He married in Butts Co. 1827 and was in Butts 1830 and 1840, in Campbell Co. 1850 and 1860, in Paulding Co. 1870 and moved to Craighead Co AR 1871 with son WD Kirksey. The SUSPECTED tie (no proof) is that his father was Edward (of Edgefield Co. SC) who married Winefred Youngblood. Edward's parents were Isaac and Mary K.
