Emily--John L. COLEMAN and Mary C. KURKSEY (the way it is spelled on her tombstone) are my great-great-great- grandparents. I had been looking for her under the KURKSEY spelling and, just by chance following a hunch, found your listing. Do you have a record of their marriage? I do not know where are when they were married; I believe it probably was in South Carolina, maybe Fairfield County. Their daughter, Almira/Alvira/Elmira married John Dauson WEBB here in Monroe County. On her tombstone the name is spelled Almira. I live in Monroe County, GA. In the 1860 Monroe County census the children you mentioned are named--also Mary (can't read initial, maybe T.), age 19; and John Coleman, age 17. John L. COLEMAN was born 20 March 1825 in Fairfield Co., SC; he died 19 January 1908. Please email me directly so we may compare notes. Thanks! PGD
