Dear Charleen,
Thanks for responding. My grandfather,William Merry, used to speak of his father, Calvin Merry, and the last time he saw him just west of DeQueen. All of Calvin and Eliza's boys are dead now. William the youngest died in 1976. Calvin remarried in 1888 and had more children. The woman had been married previously and had children. The two youngest boys, Gilbert and William R.) ran away from home and went to Oklahoma. I have some information that Calvin is buried around Ft. Smith, but it is not reliable. Gilbert is buried in Valliant, OK, William in Forest Grove, Ok, and John H.(an older brother ) is buried at Wheelock Cemetery ,just east of Millerton, Ok.It would be great to have some info on Eliza's and Mary's parents. Thanks again for your info. Gretchen
