Aaron G. Kirksey is the son of James and Nancy Green Kirksey. I would guess the G. is for Green. Nancy is the daughter of Aaron Green born 1796 in South Carolina. Her mother is Demaris Baker born circa 1802 in South Carolina. I have another generation for the Greens and a few for the Bakers. I would love to know more about the Kirksey line. I have (just found him in 1850 in Benton County AL)him living a few doors down from Aaron and Demaris Green.
By 1860 Nancy is living with her parents and two sons Aaron and Alex (born 1847 and 1854 respectively). Don't know if this means James is dead or if he is gone to war or what?
