I posted a response to this message earlier, but for some reason I do not see it here, so here goes again. I would be VERY interested in sharing information on this family. I too am descended from Elijah Kirksey & Prudence McGregor. Their son George Washington & wife Fannie/Frances Martha Puckett were my 3rd great grandparents. Their son George Washington Kirksey II and wife Francis/Fanny Tyner were my 2nd great grandparents, and their son William Washington Kirksey and first wife Malinda Johnston were my great grandparents. Their daughter Lillie Mae Kirksey and husband John Franklin Dover were my grandparents.
I have searched for quite a while along with other descendants from this line for leads on Elijah Kirksey and Prudence McGregor. This would be the most wonderful news if we could find some proof of Elijah and Prudence and even farther back. My information(unconfirmed) is that Elijah was one of three brothers from Scotland. I would very much like to prove this information to be true. It would also solve some great mysteries that many of us on the Kirksey list. Several of the names that you mention agree with the names that I also have in my records.
I do not have any information on the son you mention, but am VERY interested in sharing with you. I have had the luck to find several other relatives, some through the Kirskey list. There is much data that has been shared between all of us, and can be shared with you if you would like. There are many descendants from this line, and much documentation on them. Please feel free to contact me, if you would like to share more. I am more than willing, and VERY excited at the prospects of our sharing. Please let me know who you are descended from. I will look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thank You,
Sharon Dover Romanek
