The girl my father brought to the U.S. was Helen Schmigel who settled in the Catskill Mountain area of New York state. She settled on a farm and I recall as a small boy making a visit to the farm. Helen had married so I believe Scmigle (Sp?) was her married name. They had a large farm in a mountaineous area. I can remember climbing a steep hill above and behind the house to herd the cows down to the barn.

Does this give anyone any hint about a connection with my dad, Ludwig?
