Hi Amy!

Yes, it is very possible that we are related. I've traced my Kice ancestors back to the mid 1800's in the Warren County/Sussex County area --- specifically Stillwater, Hardwick Twp. and Johnsonsburg. There is a Kice plot in the Stillwater Cemetery where my Great Grandparents (Charles Kice and Elizabeth Westbrook Kice) are buried. Charles had a brother named Jacob, so that name seems to be in the family. I haven't a clue where my GGGrandparents (William Kice and Lydia Swick Kice) are buried, but it should be somewhere in the Hardwick Twp./Stillwater area. The Kise families seem to be from the Blairstown area, which is next to Hardwick Twp. That is why I believe that the Kice/Kise names are related. I was raised in Newton and now live in South Jersey. When I visit my family up north, I like to do some hands-on research in the area. In doing my investigating on the web, I was acquaited with a 2nd cousin whose family resided in Morris County. It has been quite helpful to have another member of the family doing research, since 2 heads are better than one. It would be terrific if we could tie the Kice/Kise lines together. My email address is carmiek@earthlink.net. Let me know what you have on the Kise family and I'll forward info to you on my Kice's.

Carmella
