I knew this family in the late 1930 when they lived at meade Branch. I was born in 1930 and remember the old home pace of the kise family well. The father Ulysses was known as Liss, and his wife was know as Lula Kise. The children I went to school with was Ulysses, James O. Bill Kise they were marble players, at school. My home was on the road just below the Kise cemetery where the Meade Branch road intersects US HWY 23. The community there is call Kise now. as a result of community name change for the 911 service. The original Kise Station was the train stop across the big sandy river from meade Branch. My Aunt Laura Bell Maynard Married A Ben Kise and lived in a house that was on the hill by the Kise cemetery. Ben was related to the Father Ulysses Kise, May be his brother or uncle. They had two children Minerva Jane Kise and Ulysses "Liss" Kise I know of descendants of Minerva who live in New York. I have been looking for the relationship of my aunt's husband and Your Ulyssis Kise. Several Kise family members still live in the Meade Branch araea. such as the descendants of Chance and Commodore Kise. Also related were the families of Robert and Bill Kise who also lived in the community. Does the Liss kise family still have a reunion in ohio if so when is the reunion. If I can be of any help with your genealogy please let me know. Charles Maynard
