My name is Mike Kise. I grew up in Blairstown NJ. My grandfather was Herman Kise and grandmother Gladys Kise. My grandfather died in '67 before I was born. I do remember finding a lunch box that had a name plate on the front of it that said Herman Kice. Always thought that was strange, but I do remember my grandmother mentioning something about a fight in the family and the name getting changed. My Grandmother passed away in '87, but I would like to do some more research. My father has some information on a Kise who was in the Civil War. We even had a copy of his discharge papers and a couple of medals with a picture. Do not know what ever happened to it. Mom and dad seperated and I do not know what ended up where.
Thanks, Mike
