I've recently submitted a DNA sample to FamilytreeDNA.Com to be included with the Kiser/Kaiser/Keyser surname search project. The DNA sample is obained using a que-tip in the cheek fold of the mouth. When you submit the sample you pay to have the 12, 25, or 37 marker test run. When compared with other male Kiser/Keyser/Kaiser surname who submit samples it will absolutely identify whether you and others have a MRCA. (Most Recent Common Ancestor.) It will also absolutely determine those to whom you are not related. The cost is reasonable and it can provide definite lines that you should trace and identify those lines that are not related and you can ignore. I'd hope that several more Kiser's will submit samples to Famlytreedna.com. Currently there are 3 submitted samples. Hope this breaks down my brick wall in the 1750's. I'd like to compare tests with the Michael Kiser and the Carl (Charles) Kiser lines. Good luck to all Jim Kiser in South Louisiana now. Born in the "Burgh" in PA. Ancestors from Bedford Co PA and Germantown PA. Test now and see if we are "KIN" Notify Administrator about this message?
