Hello Carol -- The Keesee name is just one a a number of different spellings of the name. Information I have read says the name originally was La Caze.

Regarding Weeldon/Brown, I have no relatives in my line by these names. Here is the story of the ancestry told to me by my father (family had papers)and what I have discerned through other people. There were 7 brothers who came from the Alsace Lorraine area of France in 1810. One married an Indian and the other brothers basically disowned him. I was in contact with a Kissee here in CA, but she was on another descending line than mine and has since deceased. Haven't gotten back farther than Thomas Kissee, my ggg-grandfather. If I come across info regarding these names on your line, I'll let you know. Likewise, if you get any info you think might be of interest to me, I would really appreciated it.
