Have you read a book called "A History of the Keesee Family", revised edition, 2000 by Vincent A. Keesee, Ph.D of Tifton, GA? This book should be helpful for you to collect the early Keesee Family history.

I had been researching on Kissee families between Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana and Missouri. One big disappointment is that I am unable to connect the Kissee siblings due to loss of documents that were destroyed in court house fire in Forsyth, Mo during the era of Bushwhacker and Bald Knobber troubles. Some of Kissee men who I think might be related to my Alexander C. Kissee, my great grandfather for whom the town of Kissee Mills, Mo was named after him. He was the son of Arter Kissee born in 1809 or 1810. I do have the copies of my Kissee research, but they are filed in the box at the storage after I moved to Arkansas from Maryland a year ago. It will take some times for me to find them.

By the way, I had been in a contact with Shirley Kissee-Baruch several times in the past years until she passed away with cancer. Are you relate to her? She was descended to Houston Kissee. My email address if you woud like to contact me is Rjarnold3@gmai.com.
