>>Mary (she may have married James Madison Norfleet). I am trying to connect James's wife Mary to this Kissee family.

The basic data on Jesse Kissee and his descendants is available in my online database at http://www.chronography.com/rainwater/index.html

The marriage record for Mary Kissee and James M. Norfleet lists her mother, Elizabeth Kissee and her brother-in-law, Wyatt Tarter, as security. She is also found in the 1850 census in her mother's HH. Mary Kissee Norfleet is not mentioned in her father / step-father's will (depending on who you believe her father is) - apparently because she had died prior to 1891.
