Kissam/ Kissane same as Kissee?

I have a Michael Kissane who married Frances (Sawyers) Hall in Pulaski Co. KY in 1878. They had a son William who married Eliza Gideon in 1900. I have also seen this spelled Kissam. Is it possible that Kissee is another alternate spelling? Michael was born in Ireland ca 1838.
