Dear Jean,
Thanks for your reply Cousin!
I have Elijah & Susannah as parents of my William. I have Jessee Kissee & Elizabeth (Huffman) as parents to Elijah and I have John & Betsy (Parson) Kissee as parents of Jessee.
Chlidren of Jessee & Elizabeth are (that I have found)
Elijah 1823
Mary 1832
Emily 1834
Charlette 1836. This may be who your grandmother was named after.
My family Bible starts with William (gggrandfather) and has his wife Isabelle. And there son Perry (my ggrandfather) married to Betty A. (?). and all of Perrys children his youngest Alma being my grandmother. The Bible says they are from Casey county Ky. Elijah would be my ggggrandfather. My grandmother Alma had alot of Indian in her blood. Blackfoot I think. I read some where about a Kissee that was cast out from his family for marring a indian woman. Don't know if there is any connection to this in my line or not. I hope this helps you out. You can also email me at: lelliot1@comcast.net.
Thanks again
Lynda
